GO BIG or GO HOME!

I have always been an optimist . . .

A registered independent, I sat back and believed in the democratic process of the 2008 election . . .

I believed Candidate Obama when he promised he would . . .

·      Bring TRANSPARENCY to the Executive Office and return BI-PARTISANSHIP to Congress . . .
·      Put a STOP to “politics as usual" in our Capitol.
·      PREVENT ‘middle of the night' earmarks.
·      BRING OPEN DISCUSSION to Universal Healthcare.
·      Insist NO BILL BE PASSED unless posted on the Internet for 72- hours.
·      Make sure America would no longer consist of 'blue states or red states’ but THE UNITED STATES . . .
·      SPEND 862 BILLION DOLLARS OF STIMULUS – dollar for dollar – responsibly, and “WE THE PEOPLE” could track stimulus dollars via a government website.
·      Administer shovel-ready dollars responsibly to states with VP Biden guaranteeing oversight.
·      Ensure that THE UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE BILL would allow us to keep our own doctor and our own health plan.
·      Take over General Motors and sell 110,000 Chevy Volts – only 10,000 sold to date.
·      Establish a consistent energy policy that would make the United States “Energy-independent.”
·      Keep Americans safe . . . but on Sept 11th 2012, four brave patriots in Ben Ghazi, North Africa, found that not to be true.

So much for the inspiring rhetoric . . . What transpired with the passage of the Universal Healthcare Bill was a prelude of what was to come . . . month after month, we watched television coverage of two large doors, bridled on each side by security - while 'the inner sanctum' of Democrats ONLY - crafted a healthcare bill that would contradict EVERY PROMISE MADE BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.
The proposed Bill was:

·      2,300 pages long
·      Never debated on C-SPAN
·      Never posted for 72 hours for open discussion
·      Never passed by a bi-partisan congress (passed with 50 votes in the Senate, not 60)
·      Never written to reduce our costs and premiums – Universal Healthcare will introduce 18 new taxes when fully implemented in 2014.
·      Never written to let us keep our own doctor or present health plan. Our healthcare will be determined by a 15-member board of bureaucrats – the I.P.A.B., (Intermediary Patient Advisory Board)

Nancy Pelosi was correct . . . "we had to pass the Universal Healthcare Bill to find out what was in it!"

Enough is enough – we’re tired of all the lies.
Mitt, on Monday, October 22nd, 2012 – take it to the President:
As they say in the military: ‘Go BIG or Go HOME!’

God help the United States of America

GO BIG or GO HOME!

OH BEAUTIFUL FOR SPACIOUS SKIES, RIP, ANDREW BREITBART

REST IN PEACE, ANDREW BREITBART . . .

While most of us were on our second cup of latte, ANDREW BREITBART had updated, edited and revised several blogs, defended the Constitution at least four times and declared his love for this country at least ten times . . . and it was only 8 a.m. . . .

This man, THIS PATRIOT WHO STROLLED WITH GRACE AMONGST US, allowed me to sleep better at night, as I grew to realize that he was fearless, relentless and passionate about his patriotism. Andrew Breitbart considered the United States of America to be his fifth child.

He devoted the time and passion that most of us only reserve for our children; and although there is only so much unconditional love that a human being has to offer this planet, he managed to share some of that unconditional love with us, his humble and grateful followers whose eyes water each and every time we say the pledge of allegiance or sing our National Anthem . . .

HE WAS A STRIPE ON OUR FLAG; he was a star immersed in the fabric of the patriotism that aligns our battlefields and compels us to march in Washington DC again and again in the cause of Freedom . . . so we would not lose our freedoms.

IT WAS HIS FORTHRIGHT VOICE THAT REMINDED ME OF HOW PRECIOUS OUR CONSTITUTION REMAINS and how fragile the upholding of each word remains . . . today in 2012.

It is laughable to hear the pundits casually describe him as a blogger, a conservative, a film wanna—be . . . Rather, HE WAS A FIGUREHEAD OF STEADFAST PATRIOTISM FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS; and for all of you who are familiar with Washington's Crossing of the Delaware, Andrew Breitbart was as miraculous . . . For all the right reasons, he persevered and gave hope to each of us that the impossible is possible . . . when we possess conviction . . . and love.

A west—coast liberal for years, he brought new-found intensity to the word 'conservative'. Yes, he had 'walked the walk', so to speak, and came out the other side with glory and, alleluia . . . he apologized to no one and walked tall with the love of country at his side . . . He was undaunting; he was righteous, and for all his passion, his genius, his glorious articulation, it was his heart and his soul that will give him a place in history . . .

What I shall do tomorrow in his memory is sign up as a volunteer for a candidate who believes in constitutionally-limited government, a balanced budget and the freedom our forefathers intended for us.

There will be no one who can replace him . . . one hundred men could not . . . but I shall march and keep his memory with me to the end of time . . .

I cry for his wife, his four little boys . . . I cry for them. As much as we have lost today in the name of Freedom, it is just a small speck of dust compared to losing a loving husband, an adoring father . . . I cry for all the stories he will not be able to read to those young boys and for all the moments of hand-holding that he and his wife shall no longer experience. I CRY FOR FREEDOM AND I CRY FOR THE VOICE OF FREEDOM THAT TURNED SILENT UNEXPECTEDLY LAST EVENING . . .

The loss of his voice has brought new volume to my own . . . I shall go forward in his memory.

God Bless Andrew Breitbart and God help the United States of America.
